Thank You Lord. The old has gone, and Davy is here
I remember those days
When I needed Your grace
And You showed to me
How good You are to me
I remember those years
It was filled with tears
But You showed to me
How Your presence is with me
Thank You Lord
I just want to
Thank You Lord
For You are faithful
For You are beautiful
Thank You Lord
2 Corinthians 5 fully encapsulated who we are in Him, what God has done and what we are called to do; embarking the ministry of reconciliation together with Him.
If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God;
if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. ( meaning to see things and people from God's eyes instead from a worldly point of view)
Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.
And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Thank you Lord. Knowing you is my greatest reward, never make me filled with pride, thinking that I can live a day without You. No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God (luke 9:62), and I never want to look back, never want to go back to my old life. No turning back, no turning back. I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3;13-14), to not keep my mind on earthly things, for our citizenship is in heaven (Phili 3:20). When I pause to reflect on heaven. I anticipate a redemptive end to the story I'm in. It gives me power to live in the moment, fuelled by a certainty of a merciful future. It propels me towards kindness.
our faith, which is developed in the safety of the church must prove its quality in the furnace of the world outside. 2timothy 3:16. Know that there is a power that conquered the grave is in us to overcome temptations, testings and trials, so much that those become so minuscule.
I'll hold on to what you have spoken that worship night,; to lay down my burdens, my past, my broken pieces. Looking into your loving eyes, you said gently,
"Come, follow me."
With your presence alone, that is so enough.
No more fears, no more shame, no more pain, no more sin and no more tears. Nothing in this world will satisfy, Jesus you're the cup that won't run dry..
For to the rich young king ruler, how does that even matter where Jesus is leading him to? For being able to follow him, the giver of true life is his exceedingly privilege (mat 19).
Never lose sight of a childlike faith, to love and be loved like a kid. May not my years of serving and experiences with God blurred me of my pure and sincere reconciled relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ.
Davy, because I'm eternally cherished by the one who calls me dearly beloved.
