When life doesn't make sense...
Had my second dialect LG being the guitarist.
Super honored and glad to be able to serve You in such ways, looking at the elderly coming together to praise and sing love song to you.
My dream is to be a guitarist for You, bringing people into worship...
Once again encouraged by the testimony shared by the teacher, Mdm Christine Lam.
She have 2 sons and she prayed for the third child to be a daughter.
God granted her and she was so delightful! She even checked twice with the doctor during baby-scan and right after she gave birth.
However, 5 months later, her new-born daughter is diagnosed with a medical disease, causing her to be bed-ridden for the rest of her life, and being mentally retarded, not able to speak a single word.
As what most people would initially react, she blamed God and questioned why did God gave her a daughter half-heatedly. Every night her daughter's bed would be filled with tears and tormented pain....
I was holding back my tears while she shared. It's been 17 years now and she is faithfully taking care of her daughter and having faith in Jesus. She shared how Christ has been giving her joy amidst this tragedy, and how in God, she had the peace and strength to carry on, and looking forward to a brand new day.
Wow.. This is not easy Lord. But you have faith in her.
You have faith that she is able to pull through it together with You.
In John 9 Jesus said this happened so that the works of God can be displayed in the man blind from birth.. Indeed, God can use tribulation for our good and for His glory..
I see how Christine continue to trust and love God despite all this; despite not being able to understand why, despite how things just totally doesn't make sense, despite how much pain she experienced than her severest imaginings can forbear..
but at the end of the day.. all is well and all shall be well with Jesus.
She has boosted in the hope of the glory of God (romans 5).
Not only so, but she also in her sufferings, which produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope.
Lord, bless her and her family. I thank you that her whole family has come to know you, and call upon your name.
