a group that share life
never wanna forget this week and how God has blessed me and my love ones so much.
celebrated birthday with Life Group and another bday boy Kenny.
The affirmation part for that day really set me thinking..
Kenny has really been a sensitive and gentle brother, what really amazes me is how he manage to cope with his social life, hostel activities, studies and at the same time, serving God every Sunday at Kids ministry (wake up at 6am) he inspires me a lot..
I hope I will keep the fire burning and not lose the childlike faith I have even when i experienced setbacks.
The following stuff I'm gonna say is to remind myself that this is the greatest blessing I've received and how I really see God moving right in front of me. Never wanna forget what happened today.
I have a younger cousin named daniel. I gave him tuition but i find him very hard to teach because of his attitude towards studies and also how rude he is towards his family and also myself. There are times that I'm soooooo pissed that I scolded at him so loudly and i eventually gave up and deleted him from FB. haiz. this is lame.. but it really shows how angry and hopeless i felt about him.
I tried inviting him to my church but he always reject with a straight face "NO! DONT ASK WHY, JUST NO!"
I felt rejected, and disappointed, i dont know what i can do to help in his character and also his studies. He really needs motivation in his life.
After several invitation, I gave up on asking and praying for him...
and recently he told me he went to city harvest church, i was quite surprised!
WHOA! i think God is reminding me not to give up! if i have put in more faith and asked him for Christmas service his life could have been changed.
Well guys.. THIS IS NOT THE BEST PART YET.
I invited him today for youth service, he's very reluctant, but then i kept praying and persuaded him to come.
He's very unhappy cause he gave me black face when we start praise and worship.
and i was super nervous because i really hope he can leave the auditorium being changed by God! and i prayed.." GOD PLEASE! i know you're real! you're powerful! i aldy tried my best in planting this seed. Do sth, soften his heart, let him have a chance to be blessed by your love, to have a life that is righteous"
right after worship, I was overwhelmed when dennis got a calling from God and shared the word.. " i know that there is non-believer out there who is the first time here, and 2012 has been bad for you, be it in studies or work, i hope that u know 2013 will not just be a new year, but a new life through Jesus Christ as well"
WHOA! and write after what dennis said my cousin starts to be more open in listening the gospel, asked me questions, and i know all these is not by me but by God's grace.
the teaching was applicable, how Jesus is sinless and what christian are really about.
Lastly, what really touches me is during the alter call, i saw him praying very hard and he recite the sinner prayer with the pastor!! HE CONVERTED!
this is really something i never expected, from a person that always reject me to someone that is so accepting, thank you God for being so real in my life, this is indeed a blessing i hope i will never forget. Praise u
