Don't give up
As what CS.Lewis put it, “Can a mortal ask questions which God finds unanswerable? Quite easily, I should think. All nonsense questions are unanswerable. How many hours are in a mile? Is yellow square or round? Probably half the questions we ask - half our great theological and metaphysical problems - are like that.”
My laments comprises questions perhaps are unanswerable. It's like you looking at me with love, shaking your head and said "Chill, My Child, you don't understand."
I'm thankful of how much you have blessed me Lord. From a proper home, to a full family, though they might not be perfect. From a proper room of my own and a bed that belongs entirely to me. From being given education to being a university grad. But there and then as i looked at my university scroll, I wept.
How can I stand here in axis, worshiping comfortably, enjoying all these privileges, to hear the gospel and experience grace and freedom, when there are millions out there struggling, wrestle with poverty, crying out loud to heavens for a God to deliver them. The homeless, the poor, the oppressed, the abused and the captives. God, i know i can't do much, but i wanna do something for you, and i know with you, there must be more.
Lord, i can only labor in prayer. I lift up my burdens to you. Take care of this broken world, and tell me what i can do for you, with you.
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord..
Do I know Him for who He is?? That He is faithful, good, long-suffering and trust-worthy. He does not neglect the call of his children (Jer 3:33)
I was then brought to Jer 12.. His replies to Jeremiah is a sudden clear to my fog.
“If you have raced with men on foot
and they have worn you out,
how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble in safe country,
how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?"
You have faith in me, you said there is hope, there is still goodness in this land. And you lord, will revive. and who am i, mere human, to say otherwise? lord, help me to not just be faithful, but to have visions. help me to see the land like Caleb and Joshua did, not with my eyes but with my spirit.
"Remember the steep uphill and the muscle strength it built, the awe-inspiring views it gave"
Trust in Christ, take a step, then ask for wisdom as you move forward. He is with you to the end of the age. Don't give up, is difficult to shine for Christ in this darkness, but by His grace, we can.
