Be still (Psalm 46:10)


God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

though its waters roar and foam
    and the mountains quake with their surging.
 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
    the holy place where the Most High dwells.
 God is within her, she will not fall;
    God will help her at break of day.
 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
    he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.
 Come and see what the Lord has done,
    the desolations he has brought on the earth.
 He makes wars cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields with fire.
 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”
 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Jacob’s wrestling with God at the Jabbok that dark night reminds me of this truth: though we may fight God and His will for us, in truth, God is so very good. As believers in Christ, we may well struggle with Him through the loneliness of night, but by daybreak His blessing will come.

 perseverance is key. Faith isn't just our demands to God or blatant and outrageous commands to Him. But it is by grace that God has given us this privilege to communicate and pray and ask him for requests. And many a times, God wants us to pray to him with that level of understanding coupled with the prayer requests that we have. We don't command God what he has to do. We just pray and persevere like how Jacob did.


Before refrigerators, people used ice-houses to preserve their food. Ice-houses had thick walls, no windows, and a tightly fitted door. In winter, when streams and lakes were frozen, large blocks of ice were cut from the frozen waters, hauled to the ice-houses, and covered with sawdust. Often these ice-blocks would last well into the summer.
One man lost a valuable watch while working in an ice-house. He searched diligently for it, carefully raking through the sawdust, but didn’t find it. His fellow workers also looked, but their efforts, too, proved futile. A small boy who heard about the fruitless search slipped into the ice-house during the noon hour and soon emerged with the watch.
Amazed, the men asked him how he found it.

“I closed the door,” the boy replied, “lay down in the sawdust, and kept very still. Soon I heard the watch ticking.”
Be Still & Know That I Am God..
Just days ago, I received news that a good friend of mine is diagnosed with Leukaemia, and the other  is facing depression.

I can't penned down my raw thoughts here, i cannot even find a proper vocabulary to describe how I am feeling right now. For months, i studied the scripture of Job and Joesph, the problem of pain, experiencing it for myself and witness it in people that God has placed around me to reach out to.

But no matter how much I may have prepared myself, i can never be fully ready to embrace such news.

Lord.. I need you more. I am desperate.  I really need you so so much.
This child of yours.. I know you love them more than I do. I can trust you lord, I can trust in your character, God of Israel.

"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
Romans 8:16-18

There is a difference in believing in God and believing God.

Your name is higher, Your name is greater
All my hope is in You
Your word unfailing
Your promise unshaken
All my hope is in You

Singing this over myself and over His people, over and over, again and again.
Claiming his truth, his words, his promises. The tongue has the power of life and death. Even if recovery is low and my faith is small, I'll still believe in healing, and believe that You are God


Looking at my past entries, feeling that God is preparing me all this while for these...
His Will... through the storms.. 

For from you are all things, and to you are all things
You deserve the glory.

The heart of worship (Christian Artist)

Humbled by this experience to dance on stage for the audience of One, ministering to others through dance. Thank You Lord, all glory to you.  That first step of obedience is the toughest. I know full well someone else could do a better job than me, and know that it is by the grace of God that I can be involved in His kingdom, serving Him and ministering to others.  When I was doubting my abilities, secretly hoping that the leader will change his mind and get someone else to do it, God never stop searching my heart and tells me who am I in Him, that it is indeed all about Him and not me. He bring me back to this very reason of why I started dancing for Him. "I'll bring you more than a dance,  for a dance in itself, is not what you've required.
